Ernest
Ernest is a little boy with Down's Syndrome. He came in with seizures which were probably due to his ear infection. He is a typical Down's kid...hyperactive, throws things, causes trouble. He was smiling and laughing until I took my camera out. He is taken care of solely by his grandmother, which is very normal here. Lots of kids are orphans due to AIDS. And so the grandparents take over. As you can see in the picture, all kids are carried on the mother(grandmother)'s back. All the time. And if the child is upset, they will cry to be put on the mom's back.
