Jester

Here is my favorite little girl! This is Jester. She got a burn on her hand. It got infected and spread all the way to her chest. It is pseudomonas. And it is gangrenous. What that means is that it has spread almost all the way to her lung leaving a hole. On chest xray, you can see the air pockets in her chest. We just switched her antibiotic and she is doing better. For two days, you couldn't wake her up. Now she is playing. But the hole with the infection is so large and deep I just dont know how it will heal. At home she would get a graft. Tomorrow we are taking her into surgery to clean it. Please pray for her and her parents. This is the patient that I have given myself permission to cry if she dies. She is a sweetheart. :)
